Northcliff Hill's Water tower is at 1808m - the second highest ridge in Johannesburg (after Observatory with just one meter less) - that promises to have a great 360ยบ view of Joburg
The Water tower also serves as great orientation point (how to get to Idwala) as you can see it from most parts of the city.
The public space there is not always immaculate (put on good shoes, you might need to climb on a rock or 2) but your photos will be spectacular and you can get a great overview of Johannesburg and it's skylines.
Go up Northcliff if on a sunny day if you enjoy
- taking photos
- a good 360 view on Johannesburg
Distance from Idwala:
a scenic 10 min drive through the slopes of Northcliff Hill
26-08’42,94″S
27-58’10,34″E
